Alex O´Loughlin ~ An Intense Study

Look, I love this show. This show is my job. This is my show. I like doing more work than anyone else connected to the show. I have from the beginning, and I will to the end. This is my life, and it’s all I have. I don’t have time to go do films. I don’t have the luxury of gaps in my schedule so I can go and do passion projects. I miss that, but I’m fully committed to Hawaii Five-0 and I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity I’ve been given.

I get really mad when I’m misquoted. I try to be honest with the press. I don’t give one-word answers, and I like to say what I think. I’ve got a bit of a sense of humour. But when I’m misquoted and painted in a certain way, it makes me not want to do press. I’m ferociously protective…

Passion in Paradise – Hawaii Five-0’s Relationship Roundup

Alex O´Loughlin ~ An Intense Study

From the promotional clips of Episode 7:16 (which will be broadcasted on 10 February), we can see that it is about a so-called ‘staycation’ and double dating for the men and their girlfriends. (In other words, this years’ Valentines episode) I thought it could be a good time to look back at the women on Hawaii Five-0 and how they were described by the Network a while back.

It is always interesting to see that when fans do not like a certain relationship, they say the show is not a soap opera, but whenever questions are given by fans for the reporters to ask the producer, most of the time they are asking about the relationships?

We added some thoughts after each or the Network’s descriptions of the relationships and then we added some pictures of them – together with Steve of course (because here it is always all about…

It all starts when Steve’s (Alex O’Loughlin) former flame Catherine (Michelle Borth) interrupts a hot date with Lynn (Sarah Carter) to reveal that his mother Doris McGarrett (Christine Lahti) was captured and sentenced to death while trying to free Wo Fat’s father. ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: What does it mean to you to make it to 150 episodes?

Steve – It’s been a long and hard road ……

Alex O´Loughlin ~ An Intense Study

Question: What does it mean to you to make it to 150 episodes?

Alex: It’s kind of surreal. It’s crazy. I can’t believe it, on one hand. On the other hand, I feel like it’s been torture, too. It’s a lot of television, there’s been a lot of injury, there’s been a lot of water under the bridge, etc.

But at the end of the day, what it really means is it’s a great testament to everybody who works on the show. It’s hard, man. It’s hard to make a show.

Being McGarrett

Alex O´Loughlin ~ An Intense Study

One of the things I have experienced, subjectively, is an ease and relaxation on a level that I’ve never experienced before so that when the cameras are rolling, the choices that come in are much more natural.

There’s a subtlety to that that is disarming for me and enjoyable. It’s a highlight for me, those tiny moments that you don’t see but I feel.

The Steve McGarrett Story – No # 145 (Epi 7:02)

Alex O´Loughlin ~ An Intense Study

We continue our story ….

As promised I will continue with my thoughts on the episodes of Season 7. I’m kind of sure nobody cares about the episode anymore, but I am just doing it for myself, because I like to finish stuff that I have started. Well sometimes. Ask Paula, she complains a lot about all  the stories in drafts that I never finish.

At least we got a short glimpse of the real Steve McGarrett story again, but more of that at the end……

This episode was a ‘joyride’ of nearly every British spy movie cliché in the book ….. Let us see how Steve handles it. Any James Bond poise displayed by him?

702-55

Of course this was not only the second episode of the season, but also the second in the series of the serial killer …..

We meet the profiler Alicia played by Clair Forlani
