Madison: Here with Alex O’Loughlin, star of the new drama, Three Rivers. Great to have you here, Alex.

Alex: Thank you. Good to be here.

Madison: Absolutely. There are a lot of medical dramas on television as we all know, but I’m so excited about your show. Because you focus on the area of organ transplants. Can you tell us a little bit about that? Sort of the built-in drama that entails.

Alex: Yeah, absolutely. I mean, with organ transplant you have a recipient, but you also have a donor. And so for someone to donate an organ, there is a death involved. So straight away the stakes are very high.

Alex: To be embraced the way I have on this island, by the people here. It means a huge …. I can’t stress enough how much it means to me. It means a huge amount to me. You know, I mean, I still don’t fully know what that means. But…

Alex O’ – Pretty as a picture # 3

Alex O´Loughlin ~ An Intense Study

Once you’ve done a couple of films, I think the whole idea of being a movie star — well I don’t know about the ’star’ thing — but the idea of working regularly in feature films that’s my dream. To go from one character to the next and get to tell a million different stories, that would be wonderful; I’d love to be able to do that.

I opened up the script and started reading it, and I couldn’t put it down. It’s fantastic, the writing is so powerful and the characters are so strong and full, and it’s such a beautiful story and such an important story, I think, for us, because of the way things are in the world at the moment. It’s about love; it’s about hope; and it’s about family…
